Gerald Revocatus Mukama - Techpreneur | Founder & CEO of Fiqra Technologies & Fiqra Academy
I’m Gerald Revocatus Mukama, a passionate tech entrepreneur dedicated to empowering Africa’s next generation through technology and innovation. As the Founder and CEO of Fiqra Technologies and Fiqra Academy, I’ve focused on leading both organizations to the forefront of EdTech and digital transformation across the continent, creating scalable solutions to tackle social challenges.

I also lead Fiqra Technologies Limited as the Chief Executive Officer, where I’m responsible for the company’s strategic direction, growth, and culture. In previous roles, I oversaw the development of the Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards website and voting system, as well as the design of a database for Digital Opportunity Trust (Tanzania), ensuring both projects aligned with the organizations’ strategic goals.
Throughout my journey, I’ve been fortunate to receive several personal and organization awards, including:
1. Award for Innovation from the Tanzania Emerging Youth Awards (2021)
2. Top 10 Startups of the Year at The Entrepreneur Africa Awards (2021)
3. National Changemaker by We Make Change Now (2019)
4. Best Newcomer Award Nominee at the Global Startups Awards (2023)

I’ve also had the opportunity to participate in impactful fellowships and programs such as the Mastercard Edtech Fellowship, Vodacom Digital Accelerator, Africode Mentorship, and the Africave Fellowship, all of which have contributed to my growth as a leader. I hold a Certificate in Information Technology and have earned certifications from institutions like Harvard Business School, where I completed the "Power and Influence for Positive Impact" program. Additionally, I was a finalist for the QS-Wharton Reimagine Education E-Learning Award.
Through my work, I remain committed to driving positive change in Africa’s tech ecosystem, fostering resilient digital careers, and ensuring that technology continues to be a powerful tool for education and youth empowerment.
